HAVING TROUBLE CREATING YOUR ESTIMATE?
|
Step 1 of 3. Enter and decode your VIN |
|
Each vehicle has a unique number called a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). It is a series of 17 numbers and letters combined to describe the characteristics of your vehicle. A VIN is made up of capital letters from A-Z and the numbers 0-9. The letters I, O and Q will never appear in a VIN and neither will spaces or dashes.
Locations of a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN):
1. On the driver-side dashboard and door jamb stickers of your vehicle.
2. On Your Vehicle Registration Card
3. On the Vehicles Title
4. On your Vehicle Insurance Card
Once you have successfully decoded your VIN (the year make and model of your vehicle will be displayed) continue to Step 2. Remember that your VIN is only 17 characters long, not more and not less.

Step 2 of 3: Select your repairs using either of the 3 options |
|
You have the option of selecting the part/repair(s) that need to be replaced by selecting one of the three methods. Although you can use all three, you may only select one part/repair at a time to be added to your estimate. Once you have selected the desired part/repair, you will need to hit the "submit" button. That part/repair will then be added to the estimate, you may then select another part/repair to add to the list, to do so you will again need to select the part/repair and hit the "submit" button. Repeat this process until all of the part/repairs that you need are displayed below the selection options. Remember, you may only add one part/repair at a time to your estimate.
a.) Auto Complete Repair Selector: This method allows you to type in the name of the part/repair. As you type, a reducing list of parts/repairs that contain the letters you are typing will appear. Once your part/repair appears, hit the "submit" button to add it to your list.
b.) Selectable Part/Repairs List: By using this method you are able to review the part/repair that FairRepair has for your vehicle. Scroll down the list until the part/repair that you need is displayed then hit the "submit" button to add it to your list.
c.) Know the Part Number?: In some cases you will only know the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Part Number of the part that needs replaced (this method is especially useful if you are reviewing a previous repair). This option allows you to enter the part number. Once you have entered the part number you will need to hit the "submit" button. A box will appear that tells you the name of the part and asks if you would like to add that part to your estimate? If that is the correct part, hit the "yes" button, if it is not the correct part select the "no" button and reenter the part number.
Note: If the part/repair you need to have replaced does not appear, we are currently unable to offer you an estimate. However, new part/repairs are added everyday, so please try us again at a later date.
